When you choose to stay at Phuti Camp, you’ll immerse yourself in the beating heart of nature. Right on the doorstep of camp is a large waterhole frequented by a multitude of species. Expect daily visits from wildlife—everyday is a surprise. The main area, swimming pool, and boma are neatly dotted across manicured lawns punctuated by trees.

Surrounding the swimming pool is a bricked deck area adorned with comfortable sun loungers. This is the perfect place to spend your downtime during the hot summer months, and the ideal place to birdwatch. And of course—like most safari lodges in the area—Phuti Camp has a boma area.

The rustic outdoor boma is where you’ll spend evening time huddled around a crackling campfire, and reminisce about the day’s sightings. Phuti Camp offers twice-daily game drives in a private
concession that stretches over 12 000 ha of pristine
wilderness in the Balule Nature Reserve. The Balule is a
fantastic year-round safari destination and offers a wealth of
birding opportunities. The reserve is home to the Big 5 and
sits adjacent to the magnificent Kruger National Park.
Morning game drives depart at first light, when the conditions
are ideal for spotting predators. En route, you’ll stop for
coffee in an open area. Evening game drives set off during the
late afternoon and continue until after dark. During golden
hour, your guides will stop for sundowners (drinks of your
choice) and snacks.
Other on-site activities include stargazing, boma nights and
bird watching from the lodge.
